The story of a couple on their way to Abiquiu. On the way, the woman gets a phone call, letting her know that she has a late stage cancer of some sort and that life is coming to an end.
She doesn't tell her husband and he thinks she's angry at him.
They drive in silence.
Then late at night, she wakes him up and tells him and they lay side by side on the bad, holding hands, listening to the thunder roll across the rooftops...
